How to enrol your child in Year 7
All Victorian government secondary schools follow the statewide Year 6 to 7 placement timeline. The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child at a Victorian government secondary school.
Applications for Year 7 open from Monday, 20 April 2026.
Victorian government primary schools manage the Year 7 placement process for their Year 6 students in accordance with the timeline. At the start of Term 2, primary schools will distribute information packs to parents and carers.
What you need to do:

Download the Year 6 to 7 Placement Information pack from Moving from primary to secondary school (available from Monday 20 April 2026). The pack includes guidance on the application process.

Submit an enrolment application by Friday 8 May 2026 using the Student Insight platform (VicStudents )

If your child attends a government primary school, all communication about your child's placement must be with the Year 6 Coordinator or Transition Coordinator at your child's primary school until a placement is offered.

If your child is home schooled or attends a non-government primary school, you may submit the application form directly to our school by Friday 8 May 2026.

You will receive notification of your child’s Year 7 placement offer on Wednesday 24 June 2026.
- Return the Year 7 Placement Acceptance Slip by Tuesday 4 August 2026.
