Our Curriculum

We are extremely proud of our teaching and learning program at Wattle Park Primary. Our objective is to prepare students to become active, caring, lifelong learners who demonstrate respect for themselves and others, and have the capacity to positively participate in the world around them.


Our programs are based on the 9 guiding beliefs and principles by Mr. John B. Mahaffie, a Leading Futurist LLC. These are:

Each individual student has their own learning goals each semester based upon Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Science and or Humanities and social and personal capabilities.


In addition, we offer specialist programs from Foundation to Year 6 in the following areas:

  • Physical Education
  • Library Program
  • EAL (English as a Second Language)
  • Reading Intervention

We also offer a variety of extracurricular programs in and out of school hours which may include:

Our extracurricular programs are separate to the curriculum (with separate payments required to the provider) and are advertised in our newsletter and noticeboards.
