Explicit, evidence-based teaching is central to our instructional approach. Through Explicit Direct Instruction, our teachers provide high-quality reading, writing and mathematics lessons that build strong foundations for learning. This consistent approach has contributed to outstanding student outcomes, with our 2026 NAPLAN results again placing Wattle Park Primary School among the top-performing schools in Victoria.

Learning extends well beyond the classroom through programs that develop leadership, wellbeing and community connections. Students participate in our renowned Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program, while our Year 1 reading partnership with Cameron Close Retirement Village and our extensive Buddy Program strengthen literacy, leadership and relationships across generations. Our Year 5 students also work alongside children at Papilio Early Learning Centre, supporting the transition of future Wattle Park Primary School students.
