Hello Everyone,
As we head towards the 28th November Victorian state election, we’d like to remind our Wattle Park Primary School community of the Department of Education’s guidelines about visits and correspondence from Members of Parliament or election candidates.
We celebrate our students’ learning and achievements, and occasionally local representatives may drop in or write to our school — but these interactions are always carried out in a neutral, inclusive and respectful way, without promoting any particular political party or candidate.
Our focus as a school community remains on supporting every student and family, and any communication involving the school is managed with care and, where appropriate, parent consent. These simple guidelines help ensure our warm, welcoming environment continues to be a place where everyone feels valued and included.

Our Staff
Our series on our staff has proved very popular over the years. This week we reintroduce Ms Poorva:
I am delighted to be entering my third year of teaching and my third year as part of the Wattle Park Primary School community. Since graduating from RMIT University in 2023, I have felt incredibly fortunate to work in such a welcoming and supportive environment.
This year, I am teaching a Year 1/2 class, and I am thoroughly enjoying working with such a wonderful group of students. Their enthusiasm, curiosity and kindness make each day both rewarding and inspiring. I look forward to supporting their growth throughout the year and celebrating the progress they make academically, socially and emotionally.
I am passionate about building strong, positive relationships with my students and creating a classroom environment where every child feels safe, valued and confident in their learning. Being part of a school community that values collaboration, creativity and genuine care for one another is something I am truly proud of.
I look forward to another fantastic year of learning, growth and connection within our vibrant school community.
