Hello Everyone,
Our FETE is almost upon us!
This spectacular event occurs only once every two years and is a cashless event so now is the time to purchase your wristbands. So either scan the barcode below or click on the following link:

See you there!
There are dozens of people who help pull the Fete together but a special mention to one of our residents from Cameron Close, Iris (101 this December!) who had been busily crocheting dolls and animals that we can sell/auction at the Fete.
Thank you and Happy birthday from WPPS Iris!

This Sunday, 16th November - Working Bee - Sunday 9.00 - 12 noon
In preparation for our upcoming Fete, we will be having a Working Bee to distribute the gigantic pile of mulch we have in the yard.
Come along, use a shovel and/or wheelbarrow and join in! Drinks supplied!

Water tank removal
Anyone who enters the school from our Warrigal Rd gate will no doubt have encountered the damp footpath that greets you every morning.
It has recently been discovered that this is due to a split near ground level in the water tank at the back of the Kitchen.
This tank has been engineered so that the water it collects is used to flush the six toilets (yes, 6!) that exist in the rear of the kitchen. As these are never used, I am having the tank removed in the last week of school and the toilets hooked up to mains water in case we ever need to use them.
As a result - no more wet footpath!

Walk to School Breakfast
During the Whitehorse Walk to School Fortnight, our students have been walking, scooting and riding their bikes to school, tracking every trip along the way.
We wrapped it up with our whole school breakfast on Friday, 7th November. Full of fresh fruit, yoghurt and cereals, a delicious way to celebrate healthy, active travel. A big thank you to Whitehorse City Council for sponsoring our school community.

Students of the Week!
As a result of our recent School Review, as well as the work we are doing with our School Wide Positive Behaviour Support Program, our school values have changed from six:
Respect, Responsibility, Care, Encourage, Value and Challenge to the ‘Three R’s’;
Respect • Responsibility • Resilience
Congratulations to all of our students who have displayed these values this week.
This week, we investigated RESILIENCE - and how it looks in SHARED SPACES.

Our Staff
Continuing our series on getting to know our staff at Wattle Park Primary School, we re-introduce Ms Poorva Bansal, who teaches 1/2B.
I have been part of Wattle Park Primary School community for the past two years. I graduated from RMIT University in 2023 and since joining the school, I have felt incredibly welcomed and supported by our wonderful students, families, and staff.
I am passionate about being part of a school that values collaboration, creativity and a strong sense of community. Each day brings new opportunities to inspire, learn and grow alongside my students. Watching them develop confidence, curiosity and kindness is what makes teaching so deeply rewarding.
I am proud to work in a school where learning extends beyond the classroom and where everyone genuinely cares for one another. I look forward to continuing to contribute to our vibrant and nurturing school community.
