2025.08.28 Lemonade Stand
Congratulations to Amelia and Marley who got together to create and sell lemonade to make money for ‘It’s the Little Things Community’. Their email speaks for itself:
Dear everyone from ‘It’s the LittleThings Community’,
We are Amelia and Marley, Year 4 students from Wattle Park Primary School.
We have run a homemade lemonade stand at our school, and we were going to give the money to your community. (At the end we will tell you how much we earned).
We wanted to help you make more meals for people in need. We think what you're doing is really nice for everyone. It has taken us so long but when we finished we felt great. I think you shouldn’t stop what you are doing.
You are the kindest people ever. $200.80 was raised which we will be donating to you.
Kind regards,
Amelia and Marley
Our Staff
Our series on our staff proved so popular last year, I have requests for it to return as our students have different teachers this year. Reintroducing Ms Sylwia Michalska who is our Performing Arts and occasional CRT teacher.
Hello Wattle Park Community,
I have been a Performing Arts teacher for nearly 25 years. I was fortunate to gain my first teaching experience at Witold Lutosławski Secondary Music School in Poland. I also had the privilege of graduating with a major in piano performance, studying under Beryl Sedivka and Ian Monroe at the Conservatorium of Music in Tasmania.
My passion for teaching Performing Arts began during my studies at Melbourne University, where I had the opportunity to learn from amazing musicians. I am now in my sixth year at Wattle Park Primary School, and I absolutely love teaching here. I consider myself very lucky to work with all the students.
The two main concerts I always look forward to are the State School Spectacular and the School Production, where students are given the opportunity to shine on stage. I am excited to offer extracurricular activities such as dance and school band during lunch breaks to students who share a passion for Performing Arts.
Outside the classroom, I am highly involved in a Sports Sedan racing team, enjoying attending all weekend events around Australia. Since the beginning of this year, I have also been appointed to teach VCE at the Victorian School of Languages, where I have the chance to teach my first language—Polish.
Another big passion of mine is Polish folk dance, through which I teach students singing and help organize concerts.
Performing Arts for me is a vibrant and creative space where every student can explore their unique talents and express themselves freely. It’s an enjoyable environment that encourages confidence, teamwork, and joy through music, dance, and drama. In this happy space, students not only develop new skills but also build lasting friendships and unforgettable memories.

Dear Parents/Guardians,
Australian Dental Health has visited Wattle Park Primary School on Monday, 25th August.
The Dental Van will return on 15th September.
The dead line for return of the Dental Van is now 10th September.
Here is the form should you wish your child/ren to have a dental check up.
ADH will be providing free dental check-ups and treatment for eligible students. Regular dental check-ups are essential for keeping your child’s teeth healthy—preventing cavities, spotting issues early, and encouraging good habits.
This service is provided at no cost to eligible families through Medicare’s Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS). If you have neither, Australian Dental Health will still provide a free check-up for your child.
Any forms received after this time will only be accommodated if time permits.
Don’t miss the chance to keep your child’s smile healthy!
If you have any questions, please reach out to ADH at info@adhv.com.au or 03 93239607.
