Dear Parents and Carers,
I’m sure you have noticed the large signs on our Warrigal Road fence line-
Although it has been a year of lockdowns and restrictions our PFA has still been active organising events such as Fruit and Vegie boxes and a virtual disco. Just wait until next year to see what they are capable of!
Many thanks to President, Mr Anthony Hall and his team.
With the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, we are now in a position to welcome small groups of kindergarten students onto the school site for modified transition sessions. This is very exciting and will help ensure that the transition to school is a smooth and successful one for all of our students. Detailed information will be distributed in the coming days.
It’s that time of year again where teachers are preparing class lists for 2021. Parents are reminded that information in relation to class lists for 2021 must be submitted by Monday November 16th. Please be aware that the school has a ‘Class Formation Policy’ available on our school website https://www.wattleparkps.vic.edu.au/uploaded_files/media/class_formation_policy.pdf
It states-
‘The Principal will formally seek input from parents via the newsletter. All parent input must be directed to the Principal and placed in writing. Only student needs will be considered. If appropriate, the Principal will inform staff of parent input prior to the formation of classes.’
I’ve looked at the calendar this morning and we have six weeks of school left for the year! Usually the last two weeks of term 4 include our swimming program at PLC. At this point in time the swimming program will not be operating due to the current COVID-19 restrictions but stay tuned for any updates.
The School Council Finance Committee meets next Tuesday night and there will be information regarding 2021 parent contributions made available through our newsletter and website.
The elections in the United States of America has certainly sent us all a message in civility. Politics aside, I would feel very disappointed if any of the students here could not learn the lessons of how to lose graciously in defeat.
Enjoy the weekend everyone!
Warm Regards
Gayle

It’s that time of year, when all students are required to have on a hat for outside play. Children will be required to play in the shade if no hat is worn, and being a Sun Smart School it's important to have sun protection from now until May.
