Hello Everyone,
Welcome everyone including our new Foundation students for 2025!
Starting off the school year well is imperative.
At WPPS we do this by commencing the previous year with various programs including the ‘Step up to School Program’ for Foundation students and our ‘Whole School Transition day’ which allows students to become familiar with their next year's teacher and classroom.
The ‘Start Up Program’ runs for the first two weeks of school and aims to familiarise and/or reacquaint our students with our school values, why we have them and how they look when in action on the playground and in the classroom.
You’ll find there were many marvellous ways of doing the above as evidenced below:

Chicken Care
Our Year Fours do an incredible job caring for our chickens. However, they're not always there to help like on weekends and during the holidays. So, we're in need of some help.
Our SignUp is structured so that you are responsible for the chickens for the full day, but this only requires one visit in the morning (at or before 9am) and one visit in the afternoon (between 3pm-5pm).
Please sign up here: https://signup.com/go/dKqTDEy
For further instructions on their care, please use the following link:

Hats on in Term 1!
With our emergence from the winter gloom into the glorious summer sunshine comes the need to be aware of the damage rays can do. As per our Sunsmart Policy WPPS states the following:
From 1 September to 30 April, all students must wear a sun protective hat that shades the face, neck and ears for all outdoor activities.
‘Hats on in September, off in May.
Students who are not wearing appropriate protective clothing or a hat may be asked to play in the shade or in a suitable area protected from the sun.
Have a great weekend!

Can parents please notify the school when they have used their SSB voucher and itemise the spenditure and for which child.
2. Remember September to May - No Hat No Play
Please note that it’s that time of year all students are required to have on a hat for outside play. Children will be required to play in the shade if no hat is worn, and being a Sun Smart School its important to have sun protection from now till May.
New hats are available from the office $20.
