Hello Everyone,
Safety first!
We have installed magna locks on our Warrigal and Banksia St gates for safety reasons. In addition to this I have approached Whitehorse City Council and Vic Roads about installing some fencing in place of the Warrigal Rd bus stop to prevent students from running through this gate onto the road. WCC have said they cannot act without permission from Vic Roads who own the median strip so I am now in conversation with them…
The Whole School Production was on last week on Tuesday night at the Besen Centre.
Congratulations to Ms Sylwia Michalska who put on a magnificent show ensuring all our students had an opportunity to shine.
A message from our Performing Arts Leaders:
Whole School Production
Our school production that took place on the 29th of October was a fabulous experience for students and even teachers, to shine and perform! It was held at the Besen Centre from 6:30pm to 9:00pm.
There were marvellous dances and skits that family and friends admired. The dances consisted of, class, year level, whole school and even a teacher dance! Each student and teacher put a lot of time and effort into these dances to make sure they were stage ready. The audience was also blown away by the outstanding acting that took place in between dances. The actors rehearsed countless times to make the skits wonderful and that they were!
We would also like to thank Mrs M for everything she has done to make this production happen, she took time away from friends and family to make this spectacular production thrive.

ECO MVP
Congratulations to:
Muhammad I - 1A
How to win….
It’s simple
- Continue to bring your nude food lunches
- Pick up rubbish around the classroom and school
- Turn off lights and powerpoints that don’t need to be on
- Turn off leaking taps
- Dispose of rubbish appropriately.
Each week, a Scarecrow teacher or leader will visit one classroom (at random). They will select one student for the ECO MVP, and their photo will be taken for Assembly. The student will receive an amazing eco straw and bag.
House Points
The House Points have been collected for this week. The winning house decorates the trophy with their colours and has it displayed in the foyer of the school.

Class Formation Policy
WPPS is sorting out 2025 classes.
Students are placed in classes based on a variety of factors including:
If you feel your child has specific educational needs in relation to class placement, please communicate this via email to steven.donohue@education.vic.gov.au by Friday 3rd of November.
The WPPS ‘Class Formation Policy’ is on our school website.
‘Hats on in September’ … and till the end of the year
With our emergence from the Winter gloom into the glorious Springtime sunshine comes the need to be aware of the damage rays can do. As per our Sunsmart Policy WPPS states the following:
From 1 September to 30 April, all students must wear a sun protective hat that shades the face, neck and ears for all outdoor activities.
“Hats on in September, off in May”
Students who are not wearing appropriate protective clothing or a hat may be asked to play in the shade or in a suitable area protected from the sun.
Have a great weekend
