Hello Everyone,
Today was our Crazy Colour Fun run and at time of writing, had not happened, but the students are very excited and everything seems to be indicating it will be a wild success.
A special mention to Mr Feather and the Year 6 Blue Gum House Captains, James C, Marc T, Owen F and Josh who took this Year 6 Student Voice initiative and brought it to fruition. We will have a photo dump next week.
The (other) EVENT OF THE YEAR is …
The Whole School Production - 6.30pm Tuesday October 29th!
Ms Michalska has kept the content of this production secret but I do occasionally glimpse tiny hints of something fabulous going on. Tickets went on sale at 9am, Wednesday 16th October so please purchase via the Trybooking QR code or via: https://www.trybooking.com/CUJDA
Please remember that no ticket is required for your child/ren who are students at WPPS.

Coming first and second allows James through to the State Championship for both disciplines which takes place on Wednesday 6th Nov.
We wish James well with his amazing trajectory!

Year 4 Pollywood Side excursion
On Monday, the Year 4s visited Polly Woodside and Captain Cook’s Cottage to learn more about life in the 1700-1800s on land and sea. Aboard Polly Woodside, we toured where sailors slept and ate. Also, we learned how the watchman talks to the sailor steering the ship, how to scrub the decks and how to balance on ropes to hoist the sails.
At Captain Cook’s Cottage we had a scavenger hunt finding objects that a 1700’s family would use for daily life and compared it to our life now. We played games that kids would have played like skittles, catching a ball and cup and quoits. We also practised running with a full chamber pot, full with… tea thank goodness!! We also walked around the gardens seeing the Fairy Tree and Mini Tudor village
We had a fun day and enjoyed seeing how other people lived in such an interactive way.
Mathletics Champion
A round of applause for:
Emilia S-G - 5A
who has excelled in Mathletics this week through consistent participation and impressive performance. Well done Emilia!
ECO MVP
Congratulations to:
Indi S - FB
How to win….
It’s simple
- Continue to bring your nude food lunches
- Pick up rubbish around the classroom and school
- Turn off lights and powerpoints that don’t need to be on
- Turn off leaking taps
- Dispose of rubbish appropriately.
Each week, a Scarecrow teacher or leader will visit one classroom (at random). They will select one student for the ECO MVP, and their photo will be taken for Assembly. The student will receive an amazing eco straw and bag.
House Points
The House Points have been collected for this week. The winning house decorates the trophy with their colours and has it displayed in the foyer of the school.

There’s a new local in town:
Camberwell Blood Donor Centre
For years, Lifeblood has been visiting Camberwell. They’ve been popping up every few months so we can give blood and save lives.
And we’ve been doing exactly that. In fact, Camberwell locals have been making so many donations that Lifeblood have decided to stick around.
Yep. A permanent Camberwell Donor Centre is coming 19 November.
Did you know that 1 in 3 people will need blood in their lifetime? That’s 1 in 3 people catching a flick at the Rivoli. 1 in 3 people wandering the Sunday market. 1 in 3 people on the 75 tram.
And you can be the one who makes a difference to them when it matters most.
Lock in your next donation to be one of the first to scope out the best spot in Camberwell Donor Centre (and, more importantly: the best snacks).
Head to lifeblood.com.au, the Donate Blood app or call 13 14 95 to book today.
