Hello Everyone,

Their dedication and professionalism were greatly appreciated. Also, a special shout-out to Mackka and Duncan for their work over the holidays in improving our school’s infrastructure by removing and replacing the old teetering benches. We’re excited to see the new, safer seating installed soon!I’d also like to bring up the use of Chat GBT and other AI systems that are rapidly proliferating across our educational landscape. Meet Our Staff: Ms Sarah Nolan
This week, we’d like to introduce our talented Visual Arts Teacher, Ms Sarah Nolan.
Since graduating from university in the year 2000 I have done a lot of casual relief teaching and through an agency would have taught at over 50 different schools including many private, catholic and schools with special needs. I also taught over in London and Japan for a few years which was an eye opening experience, I learned that we are very lucky with our schools here in Australia.
When I started teaching Year Six at Wattle Park back in 2017 for a term, the staff and students were so friendly that I never wanted to leave. I just loved the grounds and spaces to work in and let’s not forget the funny chickens and lambs in Spring, so I’m not going anywhere anytime soon! I hope!
I have always been passionate about Visual Arts, starting from a very young age as a student at primary school myself. When my children were younger, I use to throw them art parties for their birthdays, which they always loved. I have taught in many different art rooms but I think the art room at Wattle Park is the most special as it faces north, catching the Winter sun when it’s out and the space is big enough for any project. Mr Donohue once said he wanted to move the staffroom to the art room but he’ll have to get past me first. Haha. I love teaching Visual Arts here at school so much that I sometimes get sad in the holidays not knowing what else to do, unless I’m in Bali or somewhere else exotic of course.
If creativity, passion, fun and an appreciation of Art is experienced and/or inspired in any way then my job will be happily done.
Uniform Shop
Donations of washed and good condition second-hand uniforms are always welcome. We are still in desperate need for sizes 10+. Thank you for supporting this initiative!
Have a wonderful weekend!
This entire newsletter was generated using ChatGBT. I plugged in the contents and Chat GBT wrote the rest having looked up the style of my writing and contents online. This is something we need to be aware of as our students progress through the education system. Its ramifications are beyond exponential.
