A Message From Our Principal
Welcome to Wattle Park
Wattle Park Primary School creates and maintains a community atmosphere. This is achieved through caring, approachable staff who provide individual attention to each student. The values or norms which form the basis for how Wattle Park operates as a learning community are: Respect, Encourage, Value, Care, Challenge and Responsibility. Our students are involved in community pursuits including our Level 3 reading program with Cameron Close Retirement Village and our on going commitment to the restoration of Back Creek environment precinct. Our school has a commitment to the environment and sustainability. ICT resources have improved significantly in recent years. We provide specialist programs in Art, Music, PE, ICT (Years 3-6), LOTE (Italian) and Library (P-2). We offer a range of out of hours programs. We have just completed improvements to our Level 4 building and have our building plans ready for Round 3 of the BER initiative. As well we have a Master Plan for the redevelopment and improvement of our school as a part of the Building Futures Program with a focus on flexible learning spaces. A feature of our school is that it is set on very large grounds. We have a current enrolment of 352 students with a projected enrolment for 2010 of 380. Please contact the school for a tour or for a brochure to be sent to you.
